Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and student-focused Academic Counsellor (Program Advisor) to guide prospective learners through their educational journey. The ideal candidate will counsel students, understand their career aspirations, recommend suitable programs, and support them throughout the admission process. This role combines education counselling with consultative inside sales and requires excellent communication, relationship-building, and follow-up skills.
Key Responsibilities
Student Counselling & Lead Management
- Handle inbound and outbound student inquiries via phone, WhatsApp, email, and virtual counselling sessions.
- Understand students' educational backgrounds, career goals, and learning requirements.
- Provide personalized guidance on courses and career pathways.
Program Advisory & Admissions
- Explain program curriculum, eligibility, schedules, learning outcomes, and career support services.
- Help students understand the value and long-term benefits of the programs.
- Assist candidates throughout the application, documentation, and enrollment process.
Follow-up & Conversion
- Maintain regular follow-ups with prospective students.
- Address candidate queries and provide consultative guidance.
- Convert qualified leads into successful admissions.
CRM & Reporting
- Maintain accurate student records and update CRM systems.
- Track lead status, counselling activities, and admission progress.
- Prepare regular reports on pipeline and enrollment performance.
Collaboration
- Coordinate with marketing and academic teams to improve admissions outcomes.
- Participate in webinars, counselling events, and student engagement activities.
- Ensure a positive and professional experience for every prospective learner.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 13 years of experience in Academic Counselling, EdTech Admissions, Inside Sales, or B2C Sales.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (English & Hindi preferred).
- Strong counselling, persuasion, and relationship management abilities.
- Experience using CRM or lead management tools is an advantage.
- Goal-oriented with strong follow-up and organizational skills.
- Ability to understand student needs and recommend appropriate learning solutions.

- Experience in coaching institutes, training academies, universities, or online education platforms.
- Passion for guiding students and helping them achieve their career goals.
