Accountant / Finance & Business Operations Associate

Location: Remote Type: Full-Time Experience: 5+ years We are looking for a proactive and analytical Accountant / Finance professional who can take ownership of financial operations while also contributing to broader business and financial projects. This role is ideal for someone who understands not just accounting, but how money moves through a business, how financial data should be structured, and how financial information can support better business decisions. Key Responsibilities Take ownership of accounting and day-to-day financial activities. Research financial and business-related topics and provide practical insights. Analyze the companys financial health, cash flow, expenses, and overall financial position. Work on projects involving budgeting, money allocation, cost analysis, and financial planning. Evaluate common business scenarios and recommend how funds should be allocated effectively. Create, organize, and maintain financial datasets and reporting structures. Present financial data in a clear and understandable format through reports, spreadsheets, dashboards, or presentations. Identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for better financial management. Work closely with management on financial and business-related projects. Handle multiple projects independently and take ownership from research and analysis through execution. Requirements Bachelors and Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in accounting, finance, financial analysis, or a similar role. Strong accounting and financial fundamentals. Good understanding of business finance and money management. Strong analytical and research skills. Ability to work with large datasets and structure information logically. Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills; experience with financial reporting or data visualization is a plus. Good business judgment and ability to think beyond traditional accounting responsibilities. Ability to independently research a problem, understand the situation, and propose solutions. Strong communication skills and ability to present financial information clearly. Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership without constant supervision.
