01Overview
We are looking for a Accountant to manage the core financial and operational bookkeeping of our steel trading and scrap metal procurement firm. In this role, you will be responsible for standard day-to-day accounts, vendor payments entries, ledger maintenance, and critical logistics/inventory reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Bookkeeping &
Ledger Maintenance: Record all daily financial transactions, manage accounts payable and receivable, and ensure accurate data entry into our accounting system.
Logistics &
Material Reconciliation: Reconcile supplier invoices with weighbridge slips, transport bills, and material grading data to ensure accurate billing for all incoming scrap lots.
Commercial Transactions &
Invoicing: Generate purchase orders and sales invoices, track customer payments, and manage vendor accounts cleanly.
Banking &
Fund Operations: Handle daily bank reconciliations, monitor cash flow, and coordinate fund transfers for auction deposits and vendor payments.
Data Management &
Reporting: Maintain meticulous digital records of inventory, procurement lots, and sales. Use advanced Excel sheets to provide clean financial updates for management review.
Internal Coordination: Work closely with the operations team and cooperate with our dedicated tax team/CA to provide accurate book data for compliance periods.
Required Skills &
Qualifications
Experience: 25 years of accounting experience, ideally within the trading, manufacturing, steel/scrap, or logistics industries.
Technical Skills:
Strong expertise in Tally Prime or a similar ERP accounting software.
High proficiency in MS Excel
Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail (crucial for weight and price reconciliation), strong analytical tracking, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation: 13,000.00 - 15,000.00 per month
