Job Description Accountant US Accounting (QuickBooks/Xero) Company: It By Design Location: Naraina, New Delhi (On-site) Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Department: Accounting & Finance Working Days: 5 Days a Week (MondayFriday) Shift Timings (US Hours) Option 1: 6:00 PM 2:00 AM ISTOption 2: 3:00 PM 12:00 AM ISTExperience Required 45 Years About the Role It By Design is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance team. The ideal candidate should have 45 years of hands-on accounting and bookkeeping experience, with strong expertise in QuickBooks (Online/Desktop) or Xero. In this role, you will manage end-to-end accounting operations for US-based clients, including financial reporting, reconciliations, payroll support, and month-end close activities. This is an excellent opportunity to work in an international environment while building expertise in US accounting practices. Key ResponsibilitiesCore Accounting & Bookkeeping Manage daily accounting transactions and maintain accurate general ledger entries using QuickBooks Online/Desktop or Xero.Perform bank, credit card, and merchant account reconciliations (e.g., Stripe, PayPal).Handle end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.Process vendor invoices, payments, customer receipts, and account reconciliations.Financial Reporting & Month-End Close Independently manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.Prepare financial statements, including:Profit & Loss StatementBalance SheetCash Flow StatementConduct account reconciliations, variance analysis, and maintain accurate financial records.Payroll & US Tax Support Assist in payroll processing and reconcile payroll entries with the general ledger.Prepare financial data required for US tax filings, including:1099 reportingSales tax supportYear-end financial packagesProcess Automation & System Integrations Work with accounting automation tools such as:DextHubdocBill.comEnsure seamless integration with QuickBooks or Xero for efficient transaction processing.Required QualificationsExperience 45 years of hands-on accounting/bookkeeping experience.Education B.Com (Mandatory)M.Com or MBA (Finance) preferred.Technical Skills Strong expertise in QuickBooks (Online/Desktop) or Xero (Mandatory).Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:Pivot TablesVLOOKUP/XLOOKUPData analysis and reportingCommunication Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.Ability to interact professionally with US-based clients and internal teams.Other Requirements Willingness to work permanent US shift hours.Ability to commute to the Naraina, New Delhi office.What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience.5-day work week with a healthy work-life balance.Night shift allowance and transportation support (as per company policy).Opportunity to work directly with US clients and gain international accounting exposure.Collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.Learning and career advancement opportunities within a global organization.Why Join It By Design At It By Design, you'll be part of a team that delivers world-class accounting and business support services to international clients.
