Accounts Apprentice Tally and GST in Chennai

About This Role FinCore India is offering an Accounts Apprentice opportunity for commerce graduates and 12th pass candidates with basic Tally knowledge in Chennai. This apprenticeship gives you structured, on-the-job training in day-to-day accounting, GST filing, billing, and financial reporting under the mentorship of experienced Chartered Accountants. It is an ideal launchpad for freshers who want to build a strong foundation in practical accounting before advancing to executive roles. Key Responsibilities Assist in the recording of daily accounting transactions sales, purchases, payments, and receipts in Tally ERP Support the preparation and filing of monthly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) under supervision of the senior accountant Prepare and issue sales invoices, purchase orders, and credit/debit notes for clients and vendors Perform bank reconciliation statements (BRS) by matching ledger entries against bank statements Maintain petty cash records, vouchers, and expense reports for the accounts department Assist in month-end closing procedures including ledger scrutiny, trial balance preparation, and error rectification File documents and maintain organised records for audit and compliance purposes Required Skills and Qualifications B.Com, M.Com, or 12th pass in Commerce stream Basic knowledge of Tally ERP 9 or Tally Prime Understanding of GST concepts, accounting entries, and financial statements Good MS Excel skills for data entry, reconciliation, and reporting tasks Willingness to learn and take ownership of assigned tasks with minimal supervision CA Foundation enrollment or pass is an advantage What We Offer Monthly apprenticeship stipend of 10,00018,000 based on qualification and prior knowledge Hands-on training in Tally, GST, TDS, and financial reporting under practising CAs Certificate of completion after the apprenticeship period Pathway to full-time Accounts Executive or Junior Accountant role at FinCore India Supportive learning environment with regular progress reviews About FinCore India FinCore India is a Chennai-based accounting and financial services firm providing bookkeeping, GST compliance, payroll processing, and tax advisory to SMEs and startups.
