01Key Responsibilities
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date Fixed Asset Register for all locations including retail stores, warehouses, and manufacturing units.
- Capital Material procurement accounting & payment process.
- Record all asset transactions (acquisition, capitalization, transfers, disposals, impairments) in compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and company policy.
- Monitor and manage Capital Work-in-Progress (CWIP) to ensure timely capitalization upon project completion.
- Calculate and record depreciation on a monthly basis using appropriate methods and useful lives for different asset categories.
- Conduct periodic asset reconciliations with the general ledger and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with procurement, IT, store operations, and plant maintenance teams to track asset movement and usage.
- Assist in monthly and year-end closing activities and prepare necessary fixed asset schedules.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing asset-related reports, documentation, and providing explanations as required.
02Requirements
- Education: Bachelors degree in accounting, Commerce, Finance, or related field.
- Experience: 2 - 3 years in accounting or asset management, preferably in retail or manufacturing industries.
- Skills:
- Solid understanding of fixed asset accounting and lifecycle management.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
- Proficient in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple site-level stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with inventory and asset control procedures in multi-location operations.
- Experience supporting store openings, renovations, or new plant setups from a fixed asset perspective.
- Knowledge of taxation rules related to capital assets in retail/manufacturing contexts. .
