Role Overview
You will be responsible for conducting independent research, analyzing, and presenting data as assigned. It is expected that you will work closely with the EXL team and clients on general insurance actuarial projects for US markets. Your role will involve stakeholder, team, and project management with a team of actuarial professionals. You will critically examine and deep dive into actuarial projects, ensuring delivery excellence by delving into deliverables, quality control, reviewing, and guiding the team on their daily tasks and projects. Additionally, you will be developing roadmaps and plans for actuarial projects, ensuring quality deliverables, preparing detailed documentation for pricing, rate indication, rate revision, rate review, valuation reports, and presentations, as well as assisting in the learning and development of new team members. You will also identify and participate in continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with Data Privacy and Protection Guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- You are expected to have a complete understanding of the current state of affairs and problem statements.
- Interact with clients regularly, understand their requirements, transform them into a business framework, and provide actuarial solutions for Pricing Non-Life.
- Utilize your experience in data extraction and manipulation in tools like Excel, R, Python, SAS, Emblem/RADAR, ResQ.
- Implement data management and actuarial process improvements.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis including identifying major trends, univariate and multivariate analysis.
- Handle personal and commercial lines general insurance Pricing Non-Life for US/UK/APAC Insurance markets.
- Demonstrate knowledge of General Insurance domain and P&C actuarial concepts.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Qualification Required:
- Bachelors/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, or actuarial sciences.
- Affiliation to IAI or IFOA, with at least 5-9 CT actuarial exams.
- 4-7 years of experience, with a good understanding of P&C actuarial concepts, preferably in Core Pricing Rate Experience.
- Experience in the US/UK/APAC General insurance market is desirable.
- Strong ability to learn technical and business knowledge.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment and tackle challenging tasks.
