Senior AI & Automation EngineerUS-Based Pharmaceutical Client (Offshore Delivery Model)About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on AI & Automation Engineer to build LLM-powered automation for a major US-based pharmaceutical client. This is a builder role: you'll spend most of your time designing and shipping production workflows in n8n and Python, integrating LLMs with enterprise systems, and turning ambiguous business problems into working solutions. You'll collaborate with a senior lead and client stakeholders, but the core of the job is engineering, not managing.
What You'll Do
Build end-to-end LLM-powered automation using n8n, Python, and agentic workflow patternsDevelop intelligent document processing, compliance automation, and regulatory workflow featuresWrite Python utilities, APIs, and integrations (FastAPI/Flask) that extend automation capabilitiesIntegrate LLMs with APIs, databases, and enterprise systems; implement RAG, function calling, and prompt engineeringAdd monitoring, logging, and observability to production AI/automation systemsBuild POCs and move promising experiments into productionEnsure your work meets pharmaceutical compliance, data security, and validation requirementsParticipate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile delivery as a contributing team memberRequired Technical Skills
Must-Have
Python: 4+ years production experience FastAPI/Flask, pandas, async, API developmentn8n: 1.5+ years hands-on building complex workflows, custom nodes, integrationsLLM orchestration: Claude API, OpenAI, or similar prompt engineering, RAG, function calling/tool useAgentic workflows: Familiarity with multi-agent patterns and LLM-based automationAPIs & integration: RESTful design, OAuth/JWT, webhooks, third-party integrationsDatabases: SQL (PostgreSQL preferred), JSONB, data pipelines, ETL basicsCloud: AWS (Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway) or equivalent; serverless basicsVersion control & DevOps: Git workflows, CI/CD exposure, Docker basicsNice to Have
Regulated-industry experience (pharma, healthcare, financial services)HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11, GxP, or FDA validation familiarityCRM integrations (HubSpot, Salesforce)Vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate) and semantic searchTerraform / AWS CDKClaude Code, MCP servers, or advanced LLM toolingSoft Skills
