01Overview
The role
You build the frontend workflows that sit on top of AI systems: the chat, generation, editing and review flows that users move through. You make model behaviour feel smooth and predictable in the UI, including streaming, loading states, retries and the moments when the model gets it wrong.
You have built an AI-facing frontend before and know that the model is only half the job. The interaction flow is the other half.
What you will do
Build frontend workflows for AI features: chat, prompt inputs, streaming outputs, generation and editing loops, review and approval steps.
Handle the AI-specific UI states: streaming tokens, partial results, loading, retries, errors and rate limits, gracefully.
Connect the frontend to model and agent APIs and manage state across multi-step flows.
Work with product and design to make AI interactions feel rapid and trustworthy.
Instrument the frontend so we can see how users move through AI flows and where they drop off.
What we are looking for
You know the AI core domain terms that shape these flows and can build against them: tokens and context windows, streaming and server-sent events, prompts and system prompts, function and tool calling, RAG, agent state and memory, guardrails, hallucinations, latency and time-to-first-token.
One to two years building frontends, including at least one AI-powered product feature shipped to users.
Strong React and JavaScript or TypeScript.
You have handled streaming responses and async, multi-step UI state for an AI feature.
Comfortable reading and calling model and agent APIs, and reasoning about latency and failure in the UI. .
