01Overview
JOB TITLE: AI Video Editor and Motion Designer
REPORTS TO: Director Content
LOCATION: India
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Permanent, Full-Time
Role OverviewWe are looking for an AI Video Editor & Motion Designer who can work at the intersection of traditional filmmaking, motion design and generative AI.
This is not a role for someone who only knows how to generate visually impressive AI clips. We are looking for a visual storyteller and problem-solver who can take a creative idea from concept to finished film, combining live-action footage, AI-generated characters, AI-created environments, motion graphics and traditional post-production techniques into one cohesive visual experience.
The ideal candidate should be equally comfortable asking, What is the best way to tell this story and How do I technically make this shot work
Key Responsibilities
Video Editing & Storytelling
Edit corporate films, brand videos, social content, explainers, thought leadership videos and short-form digital content.Build strong narrative flow through pacing, shot selection, music, sound design and visual rhythm.Work closely with content strategists, scriptwriters, creative directors and production teams to translate scripts and concepts into compelling visual stories.Identify opportunities to improve scripts and treatments from a visual storytelling perspective rather than simply executing a storyboard.Adapt long-form video content into platform-specific short-form assets for digital and social channels.AI Video Creation
Create AI-generated video sequences, environments, characters, objects and visual elements using contemporary generative AI tools.Develop consistent AI characters and environments across multiple shots and scenes.Use image-to-video, text-to-video, reference-image and other generative workflows depending on the creative requirement.Generate AI elements that are designed for use within a larger film rather than producing isolated AI clips.Experiment with emerging AI video technologies and recommend the right tool or workflow for different production requirements.Live Action + AI Integration A major part of this role will involve creating believable hybrid films that combine real footage with AI-generated elements.
The candidate should be able to:
Composite live-action actors into AI-generated environments.Integrate AI-generated characters with real actors and footage.Extend or transform real environments using AI.Work with green-screen footage, rotoscoping, masking and tracking.Match perspective, lighting, colour, depth, grain and camera movement between generated and live-action elements.Create shadows, atmospheric effects, foreground elements and other details required to make composites visually believable.Correct inconsistencies in AI-generated footage through compositing, editing, inpainting or traditional post-production techniques.Work creatively around limitations in existing footage when reshoots are not possible.Motion Graphics & Post-Production
Create motion graphics, typography, transitions, data visualisations and graphic treatments that support the narrative rather than distract from it.Work confidently with Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro.Handle keying, tracking, masking, compositing, colour correction and basic visual-effects workflows.Understand how lens choice, lighting, camera angle, depth of field and movement affect compositing and generated environments.Deliver polished films with strong attention to sound, colour, continuity and finishing.AI Workflow & Problem-Solving
We are particularly interested in candidates who understand that AI generation is an iterative production process.
The candidate should be able to:
Select different AI tools depending on the required output rather than relying on one platform for every task.Build visual references, character references and style frames before generation where required.Maintain character, wardrobe, environment and visual continuity across sequences.Identify common AI-generation problems including temporal inconsistencies, distorted faces or hands, flickering, changing environments and unnatural movement.Develop practical solutions when generated footage does not work, including regeneration, compositing, asset replacement, inpainting or redesigning the shot.Understand when AI is the right solution and when traditional editing, motion graphics, VFX or live-action techniques will produce a better result.Creative Thinking
We are looking for someone who brings ideas to the table.
You should be able to receive a brief such as:
"We have one executive interview but need to make a visually compelling 60-second film about the future of AI."
and propose a visual approach rather than waiting for every frame to be prescribed.
You should be comfortable
Developing visual metaphors and treatments.Finding creative ways to work with limited footage.Turning abstract business and technology concepts into visual narratives.Thinking through transitions
