Analyst(Data/ Business) (Mumbai)

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Analyst SQL, Data Quality & Data Mapping to join our Data & Analytics Group (DAG) at Wissen Technology in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills, experience in financial data, and a keen eye for resolving data quality issues. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, reliable, and well-governed data across investment management platforms. Experience: 4-10 Years Location: Mumbai Key Responsibilities - Review, analyze, and resolve data quality issues across the Investment Management (IM) data architecture. - Collaborate with data owners and cross-functional teams to identify root causes of data issues and implement corrective actions. - Manage the onboarding and integration of data from various internal and external sources into the central data repository. - Partner with data owners and delegates to define and implement data quality (DQ) rules; collaborate with IT to enhance DQ controls. - Conduct comprehensive analysis of business processes, data flows, and usage to identify opportunities for re-engineering and efficiency improvements. - Engage with business stakeholders to understand, prioritize, and address data-related requirements and challenges. - Document detailed business requirements and use cases for data-centric projects. - Oversee change control processes and actively support user acceptance testing (UAT). - Proactively identify, track, and escalate data-related issues to ensure timely resolution. - Contribute to various strategic initiatives led by the Data & Analytics Group (DAG). Required Skills: - Strong ability to collaborate with both business and technology teams to understand data usage and related processes. - Proficient in data analysis and tracing data lineage across complex systems. - Comfortable working across organizational boundaries and within cross-functional virtual teams. - Self-motivated and independent thinker, while also being an effective team player. - Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to manage the full lifecycle of data issues; adept at prioritizing and multitasking. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts clearly to various stakeholders. Key Qualifications: - Strong domain knowledge of investment banking and financial data. - 4-10 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in investment or asset management. - Hands-on experience in data analysis and profiling using SQL is essential. - Working knowledge of coding; familiarity with Python is a plus. - Experience with BI and data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI is preferred.
