Role Description The Analyst Financial Markets role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The analyst will work closely with global financial institutions to support trading desks, risk teams, and operations by performing detailed financial and economic analysis. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing market data, evaluating trading strategies, preparing reports and dashboards, and supporting pricing, risk, and portfolio management activities. The role involves interpreting financial statements, monitoring market movements, and validating transaction data to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance. The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams, document processes, and contribute to continuous improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and client outcomes. Qualifications Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw insightful conclusions. Knowledge of finance and financial analysis, including capital markets instruments, valuation concepts, and risk metrics. Understanding of trading processes and market microstructure, with exposure to front-office or middle-office environments preferred. Background in economics, with the ability to relate macroeconomic trends to financial market movements. Proficiency in Excel and other analytical tools; familiarity with data visualization or BI tools is an advantage. Bachelors degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. Strong quantitative aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to work with high volumes of data under tight timelines. Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting. Willingness to work in an on-site, dynamic environment in Mumbai and adapt to evolving client and market needs. .
