To be successful as a Application Support Analyst you should have experience with:
- L2/L3 Application Support Experience is Must
- Evidence of robust experience of IT software support/ development
- Experience in writing queries in SQL language (for running on Oracle, MS SQL)
- Basic knowledge in Unix/Linux Shell scripting
- Must be a team Player, confident and pro-active.
- Ability to work at pace, under pressure while maintaining the quality.
- Good understanding of business and operational processes, Capable of Problem / issue resolution, capable of thinking out of the box.
Some Other Highly Valued Skills Include
- Evidence of strong experience working within an ITIL Environment
- Experience in WEB technologies, Support for multi-tier applications, MVC architecture, Web Services
- Large-scale blue-chip organisations such as Barclays or Broad knowledge of Barclays Group
- Banking Domain Experience will be Preferred
- Experience in Monitoring Tools like ITRS, AppDynamics
- Should have the Flexibility to react effectively to changing priorities and willingness to step outside of role boundaries to achieve results
