Role & responsibilities
- Identify and address denied or rejected claims, seeking clarification and working with insurance
companies to resolve issues.
- Escalate unresolved denials to the appropriate department for further action or appeal.
- Verify insurance information to confirm eligibility, perks, and claim status before following
up on outstanding payments.
- Work with insurance providers to clarify discrepancies in claim payments and determine
reasons for delay
- Document all communications with insurance companies, patients, and internal teams,
maintaining detailed records of actions taken.
Preferred candidate profile
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associates or Bachelors degree in healthcare administration, billing, or related field preferred).
- 1+ years of experience in medical billing AR Calling or revenue cycle management.
- Proficiency in medical billing software (e.g., Epic, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, etc.).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
