Job Description

Overview

As an Underwriter for corporate finance business in your assigned area, your role involves working closely with business teams to manage end-to-end credit approval processes. Here are the key responsibilities you will be handling: - Support and co-partner with business teams to manage credit approvals for the designated region - Underwrite cases and present them to senior management - Authorize deviations raised by underwriters in compliance with credit policy - Finalize review of credit memos prepared by underwriters and provide approval/decline sign-offs - Approve disbursement requests based on agreement value and documentation completeness - Monitor and oversee Personal Discussion Document (PDD) management and ensure timely completion through customer visits - Coordinate with external vendors for query resolution and report submission - Lead a team of credit approvers to maintain portfolio quality and manage delinquencies - Develop, implement, review, and monitor credit programs while providing training and coaching to enhance team competency - Ensure due diligence in credit analysis, customer application screening, evaluation, underwriting, and loan sanctioning - Customize underwriting norms to local market needs and continually enhance consumer credit risk strategy Qualifications required for this role include: - MBA/PGDBA/PGPM/CA or Equivalent You will play a crucial role in underwriting corporate finance business and managing the portfolio in your designated area.
