Job Purpose and Impact The Area Sales Manager will help build the strategy, sales teams and processes to achieve revenue targets for all sales teams. In this role, you will provide strategic vision and tactical direction while leading and overseeing all aspects of employees and represent the organization in promoting and selling products and services.
Key Accountabilities Direct and coordinate sales personnel in supervised area. Establish, control and evaluate sales goals. Evaluate, measure and handle the product and brand profit and loss. Supervise groups that divide sales performance into products or areas. Meet product volume and profit targets. Other duties as assigned Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance and disciplinary actions for your direct reports. You will also spend time completing the same tasks as employees on your team. Qualifications Minimum QualificationsMinimum bachelor's degree in related discipline.Minimum six years of directly related work experienceOther minimum qualifications may applyPreferred QualificationsMBA/PGDM in Sales & Marketing preferred.Three years of supervisory experienceProven experience in General Trade (GT) sales and distributor management.Prior experience in Edible Oils, Foods, Staples, Spices, Dairy, Beverages, or FMCG categories preferred.Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and sales reporting tools.Experience using SFA/DMS platforms.Ability to drive execution in highly competitive markets.Disclaimer Protect yourself against recruitment fraud.
