Role Description The Area Sales Manager role at Niva Bupa Health Insurance Co Ltd. is a Full-time, off-site position based in Jabalpur. The individual in this role will oversee sales within the assigned territory, including managing a portfolio of Agents, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets.
Responsibilities include planning and executing sales strategies, conducting regular market visits, monitoring competitor activity, and preparing accurate sales forecasts and reports.
The Area Sales
Manager will coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products or services, address client concerns, and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships. This role also involves training and guiding local Agents, ensuring adherence to company policies, and providing feedback to leadership on market trends and customer needs.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in territory or area sales management, including planning, execution, and achievement of sales targets.
Strong Agent relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust, negotiate effectively, and maintain long-term partnerships.
Proficiency in basic sales reporting, forecasting, and use of CRM or similar sales tracking tools.
Solid understanding of local market dynamics in Narsinghpur, Mandla, Seoni and Balaghat.
Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to work independently off-site, take initiative, and make data-informed decisions aligned with company goals.
Preferred educational background in Graduation; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
Previous experience in financial services, banking, insurance, or related sectors is an advantage.
Comfort with basic digital tools (email, spreadsheets and SM Office, presentation software) and willingness to learn company systems. .
