As an AI/ML Engineer at this company, your responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with a team of data scientists to design, build, and test machine learning models aimed at solving complex business challenges.
- Researching and implementing state-of-the-art modeling approaches like zero-shot/few-shot learning, embedding techniques, and fine-tuning.
- Ensuring the development of high-quality code that aligns with business objectives, quality standards, and secure web development guidelines.
- Building reusable tools to streamline the modeling pipeline and sharing knowledge within the team.
- Managing project stakeholder expectations and communicating progress effectively.
- Adapting to changing priorities without compromising deadlines and momentum.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in Machine Learning (ML) with a strong background in writing and reviewing production code using Python.
- Experience with LLM tooling and frameworks such as LangChain and LlamaIndex.
- Proficiency in basic algorithms, object-oriented and functional design principles, and best-practice patterns.
- Experience in designing scalable end-to-end Machine Learning/NLP systems.
- Familiarity with distributed, high-throughput, and low-latency architecture.
- Understanding of NLP techniques including text cleaning/pre-processing, entity extraction, encoder-decoder architectures, and similarity matching.
- Experience in building software using containerization technology (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker) and knowledge of frameworks/tools like FastAPI and Uvicorn.
Nice to have qualifications:
- Experience in defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility trade-offs.
- Proficiency in NLP feature engineering and state-of-the-art modeling techniques like transformers (e.g., BERT, GPT).
- Familiarity with full-stack application development.
- Experience in the P&C insurance industry is a plus.
