Populating the CMDBEnsuring the pre-defined activities are aligned with the Change Management processEnsuring the CMS provides accurate and up to date information.Ensuring regular snapshots and Configuration Baselines are taken and protectedTriggering an auditing process on the CMDBImplementing a Communications plan upon changes in the CMDB, using the RACI model.Ensuring backups are taken as appropriateConsidering the usage of a Definitive Media Library as appropriate.Making recommendations for Service Improvement PlansEnsuring the Service Asset and Configuration process is performed as designed.Developing a Service Asset and Configuration Management process mEnsuring the Service Asset and Configuration Management process is fit for purpose.Ensuring process description meets objectivesSponsorship, design, and continual improvement of the process and its metrics.Following the organization's policies relating to employment
KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Good analytic and decision-making skills.Good communication skills.Good presentation skills.Must have conflict resolution abilities.Technical background with demonstrated skills in at least one or multiple IT technologies / disciplinesIT hardware and Software setup, management and troubleshooting capabilitiesConfiguration Management experience on document control, source code management, and Defect Management toolsShould be able to create a CMDB repositoryShould have understanding of the software development lifecycleExperience of working in a multi-site environmentExtensive experience with SCM tools and with build automation software
