Role Overview
We are seeking a data-driven Assistant General Manager with over 15 years of experience to lead product strategy, inventory optimization, and sales growth in a fast-paced retail and e-commerce environment. The ideal candidate will seamlessly integrate fashion merchandising expertise with IT and e-commerce platforms to maximize profitability, enhance operational efficiency, and drive customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Merchandising & Sales Strategy
Design and execute comprehensive sales and promotional strategies, utilizing market segmentation to capitalize on e-commerce and retail business opportunities.Analyze periodical sales trends, identify inventory gaps, and implement corrective actions to sustain revenue performance.Apply data mining, statistical modeling, and sales analytics to identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities that maximize customer revenue.Responsible to ensuring the top and middle funnel of ecommerce in terms of providing visibility and discoveribility of the right products at right time, place and priceImplement strategic inventory management systems to reduce product aging,
minimize obsolescence, and maintain optimal stock levels.
Supervise visual merchandising, website content, and system UI improvements to enhance user accessibility and SEO.KPIs like CTR, Conversions, growth in visibility and revenue, reduction in aged inventorySpearhead automation, system enhancements and workflow optimizations to reduce manual intervention, improve efficiency, and ensure data integrity.
Quick Commerce - Fashion: Merchandising & Sales Strategy
Monitor real-time sales metrics, sell-through rates, and stock availability to optimize item movement and revenue velocity.Monitor inventory allocation, balancing stock levels across regional fulfillment hubs and local dark stores based on demand forecasting.Analyze micro-market customer buying patterns and seasonal trends to tailor product assortments for localized quick commerce nodesDevise Automated Replenishment System framework to automate and integrate entire forward as well as reverse inventory allocation to the darkstore basis sales trends, turn over rates, TAT timing etcStrategically designing and maintaining Fashion sections within the QWIK business page on the app considering business requirement, events and festivals, sales and inventory and other conversion matrices
Content / Catalogue - Leadership & Operations
Monitor the overall productivity across various key functions like product go live output, Out QC, product reviews etcLead catalog automation initiatives to increase product listing speed and improve overall data accuracy and quality assurance.
Team Leadership & Operations
Manage and mentor a team of 10-12 Fashion merchandisers - set goals for individual team members and aligning them with the organizational objectives, led team development programs focusing on leadership skills and performance optimizationManage and mentor a team core team members of the content team and aligning individual performance of the entire team with organizational objectives.Spearhead system enhancements and workflow optimizations to reduce manual intervention, improve efficiency, and ensure data integrity. .
