01Overview

Join Barclays as an Assistant Vice President -Treasury Capital Trading Wind Down Specialist, where the role primarily revolves around the development of business capabilities for Finance. This includes key stages such as functional design, data management, end-to-end process and controls, delivery, and functional testing. Some other highly valued skills may include: Knowledge and experience in treasury or capital / RWA management.Solvency wind down experience including recovery and resolution knowledge along with understanding of key capital ratios, RWA and leverage exposure measures, and the adjustments from shareholder equity to arrive at capital measures.Knowledge of trading book.Transformation and automation. You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills. This role is based in our Chennai office. Purpose of the role To optimise the bank's capital structure to support its growth objectives, manage risk exposure, and comply with regulatory requirements by analysis of bank's capital position, development of capital allocation strategies, and ensuring that the bank maintains adequate capital levels under various economic scenarios. Accountabilities Development and implementation of strategies to manage the bank's capital position, including setting of capital targets, development of capital plans, and monitoring of capital adequacy.Optimisation of the bank's capital structure to support the bank's growth and profitability objectives, including management of the bank's exposure to regulatory capital requirements.Allocation of capital to business units and projects based on risk-adjusted returns and other financial metrics.Preparation and provision of regular reports on the bank's capital position, capital allocation decisions, and stress testing results to senior colleagues, risk committees, and regulatory authorities, and effective communication of capital management strategies and risk considerations to relevant stakeholders. Assistant Vice President Expectations To advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. Collaborate closely with other functions/ business divisions.Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function.
