Title- AVP/ Sr. Manager- Business Legal
Location: Mumbai / PAN India
Department: Legal
Industry: NBFC / Housing Finance / Banking
Education - LLB / LLM from a recognized university.
Experience- 6- 12 years of experience in Business Legal, Mortgage Legal, Property Legal, or Construction Finance Legal.
Preferred candidate profile :
1. Assessment / Verification of Title report, Search reports / EC - PAN India and assisting Regional Team in legal vetting etc.
2. Resolution of queries in title report and search report /EC
3. Providing legal opinions on key issues such as creation and perfection of security as per applicable law
4. Preparation of Construction Finance legal documents, mortgage documents etc.
5. Advising Construction Finance Team on title of mortgage property, Verification of Title report, Search Report /EC etc.
6. Standardisation / Updating loan agreement and mortgage documents, other formats etc.
7. Drafting of legal policies and processes, standardization of format a) transaction specific policies, b) Guidelines/advisories to the legal vendors and internal stakeholders under guidance of National Legal Head.
8. Preparation of Training Module and arranging Training Sessions
9. Empanelment / Management of Panel Lawyers, monitor their performance and regular feedback / review on performance with team members , Maintenance of Legal Vendor MIS etc.
10. Approving Monthly Business Legal bills after verification
11. Fraud Risk Management- Audit as per RBI Circular for high value cases, MIS Maintenance etc.
12. Updating of Stamp duty - PAN India applicable for loan and mortgage documents ( as amended from time to time)
13. Endeavour in process of digitalisation of Loan Origination of System (DLP).
14. Maintenance of TAT of BAU.
15. Assisting and co-ordination with stakeholders e.g. Credit, Product, Risk, Compliance and Operation Team etc. for resolution / advising on legal issues / statutory compliances etc .
