Job Description Role overview: The Accountant Finance & Accounting will be supporting the Finance and Accounting function by managing daily accounting responsibilities and tasks. The ideal candidate should be well-versed with accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers with high attention to detail. The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the Finance & Accounting function.
What will you do: Accounting:
Facilitate bookkeepingUpdate accounting systems to record accounting transactions on NetsuitePrepare bank, foreign currency, and petty cash reconciliationsCreate periodic reports, such as AR Report, AP Report, Cash flowPerform Balance Sheet reconciliations such as AR, AP, Prepaid expenses.Assist Accounts Manager in management of monthly accounts Taxation:Compute taxes and prepare tax returnsPrepare quarterly/monthly TDS return workingsFile Monthly GST returns to ensure regulatory complianceAssist in preparation of Annual GST workings to ensure regulatory compliance Audit & Compliance:Assist in preparation of year-end accountsSupport Annual audits such as Statutory, Tax and TP Audit and provide information to external auditors as requiredPrepare workings for APR filingCompute CSR as applicable and highlight any shortfall/ excess in consumptionPrepare documentation for Outward foreign remittances Ideally, you should have:Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or Commerce.1-2 years Experience in general accounting roleExcellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting PrinciplesRelevant statutory provisions along with filing exposure.Proficiency in NetSuiteProficiency with Email and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)Ability to meet assigned deadlinesGood communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
