Role:VP/AVP (Deal Origination) Merchant Banking Entity: Ashika Capital Limited Job Location: Worli, Mumbai Experience: 5+ years in Deal Origination Role Brief: The role focuses on originating ECM mandates by building strong relationships with promoters and corporate decision-makers. It involves identifying fundraising opportunities across Pre-IPO, IPOs, QIPs, and other equity transactions and converting them into mandates. The role requires regular market outreach, relationship management, and close coordination with execution and placement teams.
Frequent travel and client interaction are integral to this position.
Role Responsibilities
Identify and track potential fundraising opportunities across IPOs, QIPs, and other ECM Merchant Banking transactions through market intelligence and industry connections and actively convert these into live mandates.Develop and maintain strong relationships with promoters and key decision-makers, ensuring regular engagement to understand their funding plans and business priorities.Prepare clear and effective pitch materials, presentations, and deal proposals tailored to client requirements to position the firms capabilities convincingly.Work closely with execution and placement teams after mandate acquisition to ensure smooth handover and efficient deal execution with proper client context.Participate and conduct industry events, forums, and meetings to build visibility, generate leads, and strengthen the origination pipeline while travelling extensively to meet clients and prospects.
Role Requirements
5++years of ECM or core financial markets (fund raising) origination experience Strong financial analysis and valuation skills with understanding of market dynamics Strong promoter and CXO credibility and sourcing ability High street intelligence, Strong communication & negotiation skills and commercial sense Willingness to travel extensively .
