Job Description:
Primary Role Description:
1) Lead and manage the medial UnderWriting team to ensure consistent, fair and timely risk assessments
2) Develop and update medical UnderWriting guidelines, policies and procedures
3) Review and improve complex or high value individual
4) Collaborate with actuaries/Product team , sales and legal team to support current product lauches
5) Ensure UW decision comply with Internal standards and regulatory framework
6) Provide medical expertise and guidance in interpreting medical records, lab results.
7) Mentor and train UnderWriting
8) Monitor market trends, competitor practices and emerging medical conditions
9) Support audits/Quality Assurance
10) Represent UW in external stake holder meetings
Key Requirements Education & Certificates : Medical Degree (Preferably MBBS) or BAMS and BHMS with relevant experience of 7-10 years in Health insurance medical underwriting management.
Key Requirements - Experience & Skills
- At least 7 years in Health insurance
- Must have handled a team
- Strong leadership/communication and analytical risks
- Knowledge of regulations, law and compliance
- Additional certificate in medical Underwriting will preferred .
