AVP - Product Development Engineering

As the AVP Head of Technology Delivery for Corporate Technology at MetLife, you will be part of the Group Disability technology organization, leading a team of technologists towards ensuring customer-centric solutions in the Disability and Absence space. Your role involves: - Directing multiple product teams in developing and maintaining an end-to-end IT solution, overseeing Solution Architecture, and implementation of the technology roadmap. - Setting priorities and accepting work generated by Agile teams to align with platform goals and vision. - Guiding the team in making solid technical decisions and enabling them to overcome barriers and conflicts for seamless development. - Implementing audit controls, application security best practices, and architecture designs to mitigate risks associated with products and processes. - Ensuring vendor performance meets contract specifications and managing the full people and matrix responsibilities for the product team. Your qualifications and skills should include: - An Engineering degree with an advanced degree in a Technology domain. - 18 years of related work experience with demonstrated technical leadership in large, complex projects. - Expertise in application design/development, cloud native technologies, Agile practices, DevSecOps, and data analytics with exposure to Agile delivery management. - Knowledge of Service delivery, Application development, and familiarity with Scale Agile & product management.
