01Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for microservices and distributed applications.
Develop automated tests for REST APIs and microservices using REST Assured or equivalent tools.
Validate end-to-end business workflows across API Kafka Database layers.
Develop automation for Kafka event validation, including producers, consumers, topics, partitions, offsets, and message payloads.
Validate Kafka message schemas, headers, keys, timestamps, and payload data.
Verify that events generated by one microservice are correctly consumed and processed by downstream services.
Perform database automation testing to validate data creation, updates, transformations, and persistence.
Write complex SQL queries to perform backend validation and data reconciliation.
Validate data consistency between source and target databases, APIs, Kafka messages, and downstream services.
Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing of microservices.
Identify and automate critical business scenarios and high-risk integration points.
Analyze logs, Kafka messages, database records, and API responses to troubleshoot test failures and defects.
Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
Develop reusable utilities, test data frameworks, reporting mechanisms, and automation components.
Define and monitor Quality Engineering metrics, automation coverage, test execution results, and defect trends.
Collaborate with developers, architects, product owners, and DevOps engineers to understand system architecture and testing requirements.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior QA engineers.
Continuously evaluate tools, frameworks, and best practices to improve automation efficiency and test coverage. .
