01Key Responsibilities
Architect and Develop Scalable Backend Systems: Design, build, and maintain robust server-side applications and APIs that support high-performance, scalable, and secure digital products.
Cloud-Native Development & Deployment: Leverage cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) to architect and deploy backend services using modern cloud-native practices such as containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and serverless computing.
Database Design & Management: Integrate and manage relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB), ensuring data integrity, performance optimization, and scalability.
API Design & Integration: Develop RESTful and GraphQL APIs with a focus on clean architecture, versioning, and documentation. Ensure seamless integration with frontend and third-party services.
Security & Reliability: Implement best practices for authentication, authorization, data protection, and secure coding. Ensure high availability and fault tolerance across backend systems.
Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and improve application performance through profiling, caching strategies, and load balancing.
AI/LLM Integration (Preferred): Collaborate with data science and AI teams to integrate machine learning models or large language models (LLMs) into backend workflows, enabling intelligent features and automation.
Leadership & Mentorship: Lead backend development initiatives, mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to technical decision-making and architectural planning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure smooth end-to-end delivery of features and enhancements.
System Maintenance & Continuous Improvement: Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems. Drive continuous improvement through refactoring, automation, and adoption of emerging technologies.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation. Share knowledge and promote best practices across the engineering team. Required Skills:
Technical Proficiency
Expertise in backend programming languages such as Node.js, Java, Python, or Go, with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Strong experience with database technologies , including relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis), with a solid understanding of data modeling, indexing, and performance tuning. Proficient in designing and consuming RESTful APIs , and familiar with GraphQL and microservices architecture. Hands-on experience with message queues and event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) for building scalable and decoupled services. Deep understanding of authentication, authorization, and security best practices , including OAuth, JWT, and data encryption. Cloud & DevOps Skills
Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including deploying and managing backend services using containers (Docker), orchestration tools (Kubernetes), and serverless functions. CI/CD pipeline knowledge , with experience in automated testing, integration, and deployment using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI. Leadership & Collaboration
Proven ability to lead backend development efforts , including planning, task delegation, and code reviews. Mentorship experience , guiding junior developers and fostering a collaborative, high-performance engineering culture. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills , working effectively with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, product managers, and QA teams. AI/LLM Integration (Preferred)
Exposure to AI/ML workflows or LLM integration , supporting intelligent features such as recommendation engines, chatbots, or .
