Job Description

Key Responsibilities

- Benefits Administration & Operations - Administer various employee benefits programs such as health insurance, life insurance, accident coverage, wellness initiatives, leave policies, gratuity, and PF/ESI coordination. - Manage enrollments, life events, vendor coordination, and ensure benefits data accuracy in HRIS. - Support onboarding/offboarding benefits processes and communicate effectively with employees. - Compliance & Governance - Ensure compliance with Indian statutory requirements and company policies related to benefits like PF/ESI coordination, gratuity, and maternity benefits. - Assist in audits and maintain necessary documentation for benefits-related compliance. - Develop and maintain SOPs and policy documentation for benefits programs. - Data Analysis & Reporting - Analyze benefits utilization, costs, and trends to provide insights for optimization. - Create dashboards and reports using tools like Excel or Power BI. - Assist in annual benefits renewals, benchmarking, and vendor negotiations using data-driven insights. - Employee Experience & Communication - Serve as a point of contact for benefits-related queries and escalations. - Develop benefits guides, FAQs, and communication materials for employees. - Collaborate with HRBP teams to enhance benefits awareness and adoption among employees. - Process Improvement & Vendor Management - Identify opportunities to streamline benefits administration through automation and HRIS integrations. - Manage relationships with benefits vendors and brokers, ensuring adherence to SLAs and service quality. - Support benefits program launches and enhancements to improve employee experience. Required Skills & Experience: Core Skills: - 26+ years of experience in benefits administration/HR operations. - Knowledge of Indian benefits landscape including insurance, gratuity, leave policies, and PF/ESI coordination. - Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and HRIS platforms. - Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills with great attention to detail and data accuracy. Modern Skills: - Experience with HRIS integrations and benefits automation. - Exposure to benefits benchmarking and cost optimization. - Familiarity with tools like Power BI/Tableau for benefits analytics. - Experience supporting remote/hybrid workforces and awareness of data privacy best practices. Soft Skills: - Empathy and employee-centric mindset. - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Problem-solving and continuous improvement orientation. - Clear communication skills in a remote work environment. - Commitment to confidentiality and integrity. Tools You May Work With: - HRIS/Payroll: Darwinbox, Zoho People, Keka, Workday (depending on the project). - Analytics: Excel, Power BI. - Collaboration: Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Workspace. - Documentation: Notion, Confluence. As a Benefits Analyst, your role involves supporting the design, administration, and optimization of employee benefits programs in a remote-first workplace. You will collaborate with HR, Finance, and vendors to ensure that benefits are competitive, compliant, cost-effective, and well-communicated to employees. Your strong analytical skills, experience in benefits administration, and a service-minded mindset will be essential for success in this role.
