Job Description
Roche has established Global Analytics and Technology Center of Excellence (GATE) in India to drive analytics & technology driven solutions by partnering with Roche affiliates across the globe. As a BI Lead, you will design, develop, implement and deliver BI Application (Tableau/Qlik) to support business needs. The candidate needs to collaborate with business and IT to identify key business requirements. The ideal candidate needs to have experience in visual design and development with BI reporting tools. All Roche employees are expected to effectively contribute to crossfunctional collaboration and coordination and comply with all laws, regulations, policies & procedures that govern our business.
As a BI Lead, you will:
Proven experience in designing and delivering enterprisegrade Business Intelligence applications and dashboards, ensuring scalability, performance, security and data governance
Act as the primary point of contact for business leaders to gather requirements, manage expectations and provide transparent project timelines across multiple workstreams
Have strong experience in delivering projects and managing programs while working with multiple teams and across multiple time zones
Lead data discovery sessions to identify new data sources and ensure the underlying data warehouse architecture supports longterm BI reporting needs
Interact with business stakeholders/partners to understand their business and reporting needs, including critical metrics and KPIs
Transform business requirements into a guided analytics prototype to provide business and data insights
Strong data and BI analysis skills detailed analysis of source systems, business requirements, KPI definitions and aggregations
Design, develop and QA Tableau applications integrating reporting components from multiple data sources
Work closely with the BI team to provide input on appropriate solutions to meet business requirements and are consistent with current reporting standards and processes
Create and understand Figmabased prototypes to understand the "user journey" of data. Translate these designs into functional KPIs for BI developers
Direct oversight of the endtoend BI ecosystem (Desktop, Server, and Cloud). You will ensure best practices in dashboard performance, security and scalability
Need to collaboratively work in a teambased environment and contribute to team growth
Required Qualifications
7+ years of IT development experience in one or more BI Reporting Tools (Qlik/Tableau)
Handson experience in Tableau/QlikSense/Qlik View development, dashboarding and data modeling and reporting (ad hoc report generation) techniques
Experience in developing BI Solutions supporting sales performance reporting
Experience in optimizing dashboards with a focus on usability, performance, flexibility and standardization
Experience in data modeling, data cleansing and data transformation activities
Experience in endtoend implementation of BI projects for developing a portfolio of scorecards, KPIs, reports & dashboards
Experience in writing and debugging SQL queries
Prior experience or knowledge of pharmaceuticals or healthcare industry landscape is an added advantage
Strong work ethics coupled with high motivation and a gogetter attitude
High attention to detail and a qualityoriented mindset
Education
Bachelors Degree (computer science, engineering or other technical disciplines)
Masters Degree Good to have
