About This Role
Manipal Hospitals one of India's largest multi-specialty hospital groups is hiring fresh biomedical engineering graduates as Biomedical Engineers to maintain, calibrate, and manage medical equipment across Manipal's hospitals, ensuring maximum uptime for life-saving clinical devices.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of clinical equipment ventilators, defibrillators, infusion pumps, patient monitors, ECG machines, and diagnostic imaging equipment
Conduct mandatory electrical safety testing and calibration of medical equipment per NABH and JCI accreditation standards
Maintain the Hospital Equipment Management System (HEMS) track equipment inventory, AMC schedules, calibration due dates, and service history
Coordinate with medical equipment vendors and service engineers for complex repairs and annual maintenance contract (AMC) services
Evaluate new medical equipment during procurement participate in technical evaluation committees and conduct acceptance testing
Train nursing staff and clinical users on basic medical equipment operation and safety precautions
Requirements & Skills
B.E./B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering 2024/2025 batch (Biomedical Engineering degree strongly preferred)
Understanding of hospital medical equipment, clinical environment safety, and NABH biomedical standards
Comfortable working in hospital ICU, OT, and ward environments
Strong organizational skills for managing multi-department equipment databases
Knowledge of medical gas systems, electrical safety, and hospital infrastructure is a plus
