Business Analytics Analyst with Python & SQL

You will be joining the Citi Analytics & Information Management (AIM) team as an Anti Money Laundering (AML) Data Science & Model Management (DSMM) analyst based in Bangalore. Your primary responsibility will involve working on threshold tuning for Optimization, developing Logistic Regression Model, identifying anomalies in transactions and customer behavior, and more. You will work closely with business partners in different geographies where Citi operates.

- Focus on threshold tuning for Optimization, Logistic Regression Model development, anomaly identification, Outlier detection, ATL threshold tuning, and clustering of customers - Apply quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods, prepare statistical and non-statistical data exploration, and support threshold tuning or segmentation work streams - Validate data, identify data quality issues, and collaborate with Technology for resolution - Automate data extraction and preprocessing tasks, perform adhoc data analysis, and design complex data manipulation processes - Develop new transaction monitoring scenarios and document solutions in a clear and comprehensive manner - Generate new ideas and models to improve data evaluation methods, identify trends, and validate assumptions Qualifications: - 2-4 years of experience in Financial Services/Analytics Industry - Masters in a numerate subject from a Premier Institute or equivalent track record - Experience in financial services, threshold tuning, developing models, and data analysis - Proficiency in Python, SQL, Hive, and MS Excel; VBA experience is a plus - Strong statistics and data analytics background with quantitative methods knowledge - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to present findings effectively - Team player with the ability to work collaboratively and communicate technical requirements - Proactive attitude, initiative, and willingness to innovate new approaches Additional Information: Citi is an equal opportunity employer, promoting diversity and inclusion.
