Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager with extensive experience to drive our international aluminium castings business across US and European markets. The ideal candidate will be a veteran professional with deep industry relationships, proven leadership capabilities, and a strong track record of building and scaling international business operations.
02Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic business development plans for aluminium castings in US and European markets, achieving assigned revenue and profitability targets
Identify, qualify, and onboard new customers including OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers in target industries
Lead complex techno-commercial negotiations from initial inquiry through contract closure
Prepare and present technical proposals, commercial offers, and capability presentations to senior stakeholders
Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities
Collaborate with internal technical teams to ensure customer specifications are met while maintaining commercial viability
Manage end-to-end sales cycle including RFQ response, pricing strategy, and contract negotiations
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at customer organizations
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, quality standards, and customer-specific requirements
Represent the organization at international trade exhibitions, customer meetings, and industry forums
Develop and mentor team members to build a high-performance sales organization
Prepare to assume department leadership responsibilities in the medium term
Required Skills & Competencies:
Technical:
Comprehensive understanding of aluminium casting processes (HPDC, LPDC, Gravity Die Casting)
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality requirements
Knowledge of international quality standards (IATF 16949, AS9100, ISO 9001)
Familiarity with automotive/aerospace product development and APQP processes
Commercial:
Proven expertise in B2B sales with demonstrable track record of achieving targets
Strongnegotiation skills with experience in high-value contract negotiations
Proficiency in cost analysis, pricing strategies, and commercial risk assessment
Expertise in identifying new market entry strategies and expansion opportunities
Strong capability in competitor analysis and market intelligence gathering
Proven ability in opportunity spotting and converting market insights into business growth
Leadership & Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to engage C-level executives
Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience in team building and mentoring
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Self-motivated with entrepreneurial drive and result orientation
Cultural sensitivity and extensive experience working with international clients
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Metallurgical/Production Engineering (mandatory)
MBA in Marketing/International Business (preferred)
7-12 years of relevant experience in technical sales/business development
Minimum 6 years of experience specifically in aluminium castings sales
Proven track record of managing international accounts in US/Europe markets
Established relationships with automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers
Experience in handling annual sales portfolios of USD 10M+ (preferred)
Willingness to travel internationally (30-40% travel required)
Preferred Qualifications:
Existing active relationships with automotive/aerospace OEMs in US and European markets
Experience in electric vehicle component supply chain
Track record of building sales teams and departments from ground up
Knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies and Industry 4.0 concepts
Export-import certification or relevant international trade qualifications
Experience in managing P&L responsibilities
