01Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications within the Calypso platform.
Customize Calypso modules including Workflows, BOMessages, BOTransfers, Scheduled Tasks, Reports, and Engines.
Work with Calypso APIs to build enhancements and integrations.
Support trading lifecycle processes including trade capture, settlement, reconciliation, and reporting.
Collaborate with operations and business teams to understand requirements and resolve issues.
Troubleshoot production issues and provide application support.
Write and optimize SQL queries for data analysis and reporting.
Work with version control tools and follow development best practices.
Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and performance tuning activities.
Required Skills and Qualification
6+ years of experience in Java development (Core Java JDK 1.8 or above).
At least 34 years of hands-on experience with Calypso (v16 or higher).
Strong expertise in Calypso customizations (Workflows, BO modules, Reports, Engines).
Working knowledge of financial instruments such as equities and FX.
Understanding of trading lifecycle (settlement, reconciliation, reporting).
Strong SQL skills with experience in Oracle or Sybase databases.
Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux commands.
Experience using version control tools such as Git or SVN.
Strong analytical, problemsolving, and debugging skills.
Good communication and stakeholder interaction skills.
Good to have Skills
Experience working in investment banking or capital markets environments.
Exposure to risk management, pricing models, or derivatives.
Knowledge of messaging systems or integration frameworks.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Experience working directly with operations/business users in a support role.
