01Key Responsibilities
Create CNC machining programs using CAM software based on engineering drawings and CAD models.
Generate and optimize tool paths for 3-axis and 4-axis machining operations.
Improve cycle time, productivity, and tool life through program optimization.
Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, and machining strategies.
Prepare setup sheets and machining instructions for machine setters and operators.
Perform program simulation and verification to avoid collisions and machining errors.
Support trial runs and prove-out of new CNC programs on the shop floor.
Modify and improve existing CNC programs for enhanced efficiency and quality.
Collaborate with Production, Tool Room, and Quality teams to resolve machining issues.
Maintain program documentation and revision control.
Assist in fixture planning and machining process development.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of CNC machining and CAM programming.
Experience with 3-axis and 4-axis CNC machining.
Good understanding of cutting tools, machining processes, feeds, and speeds.
Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and CAD models.
Knowledge of machining strategies for roughing, finishing, drilling, and contour machining.
Familiarity with VMC machines and Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi controllers.
Qualification:
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering
OR
ITI with CNC Programming Certification
Experience:
2-7 years in CNC CAM Programming. (Power Mill)
Experience in Tool Room or Precision Component Manufacturing is preferred.
