PwC Role Profile: Senior Associate Investment Banking Operations Advisory
Role Summary
As a Senior Associate in PwCs Banking & Capital Markets Advisory practice, you will support projects aimed at improving the effectiveness, efficiency, and resilience of investment banking operations. You will focus on the operational lifecycle supporting sales & trading and corporate & institutional lending, helping clients address challenges in trade processing, reconciliations, settlements, documentation, and servicing.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to assessments of front-to-back operating models for trading and lending businesses.
- Analyze operational pain points (settlement fails, reconciliation breaks, covenant monitoring, collateral disputes).
- Support design of process improvements, workflow enhancements, and control remediations.
- Assist in documenting business requirements for technology change initiatives.
- Draft client deliverables such as operating model assessments, business process maps, and regulatory impact analyses.
- Collaborate with PwC colleagues in Risk, Technology, and Data to deliver integrated solutions.
Skills & Experience
- 3-6 years in investment banking operations or consulting.
- Familiarity with sales & trading and/or corporate lending lifecycle processes.
- Knowledge of regulatory drivers (e.g., T+1 settlement, UMR, Basel III, LIBOR transition, syndicated lending regulations).
- Robust analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. .
