We are currently seeking an experienced skilled to join our team in the role of Cards and Payments SRE.
Our technology teams work closely with HSBCs global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely.
WPB Technology has experienced significant growth and change within recent years which drove the need for us to undertake a strategic review of our current Target Operating Model and Organizational Leadership Structure. The creation of the defined Value Streams (VS) and Sub-Value Streams (SVS) drives joint delivery of business outcomes through deep partnership between Business, Markets, Technology and Digital.
Principal responsibilities
The Head of SRE Cards and Payments Technology works with the Value Streams providing Site Reliability Engineering leadership, vision and direction as part of a global Production Integrity and SRE team.
The Head of SRE Cards and Payments will be accountable for:
- working with teams to develop ways of working,
- helping establish SLOs and associated monitoring,
- improve monitoring and alerting,
- increasing automation,
- ensure toolset adoption and coverage,
- reducing toil,
- improving resilience,
- developing resource capability and SRE mindset
An important component of the role will be to manage delivery of impactful change through:
