Certified Medical Coder - Remote

You will be working as a full-time remote Certified Medical Coder & Biller for Mynx Softwares. Your primary responsibility will involve reviewing and analyzing patient medical records to accurately assign medical codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, and WoundCare clinics. It is essential to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, maintain precise billing records, and collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and coding practices.

- Review and analyze patient medical records to assign accurate medical codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services - Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain accurate billing records - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and coding practices Qualifications: - Significant experience in Family Practice (Vaccination, Immunizations & Consults), Internal Medicine, or WoundCare clinics - Proficiency in Medical Coding with a strong understanding of coding systems such as ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS - Knowledge of Medical Terminology and Health Information Management practices - Certifications such as RHIT or equivalent demonstrating expertise in medical coding and billing - Experience in coding within healthcare or clinical environments - Attention to detail, accuracy, and a thorough understanding of insurance and billing processes - Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with healthcare professionals - Associates degree in Health Information Management or a related field is preferred - Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and other relevant healthcare software is a plus
