Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the Finance & Accounts function of a growing real estate organization. The CFO will be responsible for financial strategy, project finance, cash-flow management, financial planning, MIS, taxation, compliance, banking relationships, fundraising, and risk management.
The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to the real estate / construction / infrastructure sector, with a proven ability to manage project-level finances and support senior management in strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute the company's overall financial strategy aligned with business and growth objectives.
- Provide strategic financial insights to the CEO/MD and management team.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and long-term financial modelling.
- Evaluate recent projects, investments, acquisitions, and business opportunities from a financial perspective.
- Establish strong financial controls, governance, and risk-management processes.
2. Real Estate Project Finance
- Manage financial planning and monitoring for ongoing and upcoming real estate projects.
- Prepare project-wise budgets, cost estimates, profitability analysis, and financial projections.
- Monitor project cash flows, construction costs, receivables, payables, and project profitability.
- Evaluate project feasibility, IRR, ROI, margins, break-even, and funding requirements.
- Work closely with Projects, Sales, Procurement, and Business teams to control project costs.
3. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
- Ensure effective management of company and project-level cash flows.
- Prepare rolling cash-flow forecasts and identify funding gaps proacti .
