01Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & P&L; Ownership
- Own national revenue, client acquisition, and AUM targets across retail investment products including equities, commodities, derivatives, margin trading, advisory, and wealth solutions.
- Develop and execute long-term go-to-market strategies with defined quarterly and annual growth milestones.
- Design pricing, cross-sell, and upsell strategies to maximize customer lifetime value while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Monitor business performance, profitability, and unit economics across all sales channels.
2. Distribution & Channel Development
- Build and lead an omni-channel sales organization across India.
- Develop and expand franchise, sub-broker, and authorized partner networks in key markets.
- Manage direct sales teams catering to HNI, affluent, and emerging affluent customer segments.
- Establish and scale inside sales and telesales teams to convert digital leads into active clients.
- Identify, onboard, and manage strategic partners including IFAs, RIAs, wealth boutiques, and regional distribution networks.
- Drive market expansion across Tier-1, Tier-2, and high-potential Tier-3 cities.
3. Digital Acquisition & Growth
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and technology teams to build digital-first customer acquisition funnels.
- Drive lead generation through social media, performance marketing, content marketing, referral programs, and other digital channels.
- Establish robust lead management processes covering lead generation, qualification, onboarding, activation, and revenue conversion.
- Utilize data-driven insights to optimize campaigns, customer journeys, conversion rates, and customer acquisition costs.
4. Sales Operations & Governance Define sales processes, KPIs, performance dashboards, and reporting frameworks.
- Monitor productivity, pipeline health, and performance at national, regional, branch, and relationship manager levels.
- Develop training and certification programs covering products, platforms, regulatory requirements, and advisory standards.
- Ensure alignment with risk, compliance, and operations teams to maintain adherence to all regulatory and internal governance standards.
5. Leadership & Organization Building
- Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing sales organization with a strong culture of accountability and ethical conduct.
- Develop structured sales playbooks, onboarding frameworks, sales scripts, and best-practice guidelines.
- Provide market intelligence and strategic feedback on customer needs, competitive positioning, product enhancements, and industry trends.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on business growth opportunities and market expansion initiatives.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience
- 12- 18+ years of experience in retail broking, wealth management, or financial product distribution.
- Minimum 57 years in a senior sales leadership role with responsibility for large-scale revenue targets and/or P&L; ownership.
- Demonstrated success in scaling client acquisition, revenue, and business volumes in high- growth environments.
- Proven experience managing large sales teams and extensive franchise or partner networks.
- Experience with digital-first or online broking platforms is highly preferred.
- Prior experience launching, scaling, or transforming a broking or wealth management business will be an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Deep understanding of capital markets, retail investor behavior, and the competitive landscape within broking and wealth management.
- Strong expertise in sales strategy, funnel management, incentive design, target setting, and performance management.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms, lead management systems, analytics tools, and digital customer acquisition processes.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with product and technology teams to drive customer-centric solutions.
- Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and team-building capabilities.
Qualifications & Certifications
- Graduate in any discipline. MBA or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Relevant NISM, NCFM, or similar industry certifications preferred.
