Overview
As a Financial Analyst at JPMorgan Chase & Co., you will play a vital role in providing financial and strategic analysis, oversight, and coordination of budgeting and forecasting. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing in-depth variance analysis to understand the key drivers of financial results and presenting insightful commentary to senior managers, explaining changes from prior forecasts and budgets
- Leading the Expenses planning cycle, which involves annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and analysis of variances to the plan
- Conducting ad hoc analysis of the business and its drivers, identifying opportunities for improvement and recommending actions to enhance business performance
- Collaborating closely with other Line of Business (LOB) Planning & Analysis teams and the Central Planning & Analysis team to drive efficiencies and process improvements
- Ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and timeliness in all financial reporting processes
- Developing and tracking performance metrics, creating presentations, and providing financial analysis on various topics to senior management
- Designing new reports and dashboards to efficiently deliver financial results to senior management
- Enhancing controls, streamlining processes, and introducing automation where possible
Qualifications required for this role include:
- MBA/CA/CFA in Finance
- 10 years of work experience, preferably in Financial Services, accounting, or business partnering background
- Sound knowledge of CCAR, Stress testing, and B/S
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in data mining/gathering and manipulation of data sets
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly
- Ability to create ad hoc reporting for senior management
- Proven track record for executing special projects with little lead time
- Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely
