Job Description:
Regional/Cluster Collateral Manager
Job Purpose
To ensure thorough technical evaluation, accurate property appraisal, and legal compliance in home loan processing. The role includes overseeing regional technical teams, coordinating with valuers, and minimizing collateral risk in the home loan portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Valuation & Risk Assessment
Conduct and review technical appraisals of residential and commercial properties.
Ensure correctness of property valuation as per market standards.
Validate property title documents and ensure clear ownership.
Identify property-related risks and recommend mitigation steps.
Vendor Management
Appoint and manage empaneled technical valuers and field verification agencies.
Monitor and audit their performance regularly.
Provide training and updates to third-party valuers on company policies.
Process & Compliance
Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory guidelines (RERA, local development authorities).
Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for property valuation.
Conduct sample checks and audits of disbursed loans for property-related discrepancies.
Team Management
Lead a team of technical officers and valuation managers across regions.
Guide and mentor team members in technical evaluations and risk analysis.
Conduct periodic training on market trends and new regulatory changes.
Stakeholder Coordination
Liaise with credit, legal, and sales teams to support loan processing.
Participate in credit committee meetings for high-ticket loans.
Provide inputs for portfolio quality and collateral-related reporting. .
