Cognos Developer

As a Cognos Developer at CGI, your role involves designing, developing, and deploying IBM Cognos reports, dashboards, and scorecards. You will be responsible for building and maintaining Framework Manager models, optimizing report performance, and ensuring scalability. Your key responsibilities include: - Designing, developing, and deploying IBM Cognos reports, dashboards, and scorecards - Building and maintaining Framework Manager (FM) models (Star/Snowflake schemas) - Developing reports using Cognos Report Studio, Query Studio, and Analysis Studio - Optimizing report performance and ensuring scalability - Working with business users to gather, analyze, and document reporting requirements - Handling data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting issues - Supporting production issues and enhancements - Implementing security (row-level, object-level) and user access control - Coordinating with ETL and database teams for data availability and accuracy - Preparing technical documentation and user guides Qualifications required for this role include: - Strong experience in Framework Manager modeling - Proficiency in SQL (Oracle / SQL Server / DB2) - Good understanding of Data Warehousing concepts - Exposure to ETL tools (Informatica, DataStage, SSIS) - Knowledge of Power BI / Tableau (added advantage) - Banking, Insurance, or Retail domain experience - Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments In addition to the technical skills, successful candidates should possess: - Skills: Cognos, IBM Cognos, Framework manager, data module - Location: Bangalore / Chennai - Education: BE / B.Tech / MCA / BCA At CGI, you are invited to be an owner from day one, actively shaping the company's strategy and direction.
