Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of recovery officers and executives, assigning and monitoring recovery targets, and providing training and mentorship to improve collection techniques and negotiation skills.
- Directly handle high-value and sensitive accounts, negotiate settlements with defaulters, and maintain detailed records of all settlements, legal actions, and communications.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the portfolio to identify high-risk accounts, collaborating with the risk management team to develop strategies for minimizing risk on unsecured loans.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and laws, stay updated on regulatory changes, and maintain adherence to legal frameworks.
- Manage customer relationships with professionalism and empathy during the recovery process, addressing grievances and resolving issues efficiently.
- Prepare regular reports on recovery progress, delinquency rates, and recovery rates, providing data-driven insights to management and suggesting improvements to recovery processes.
- Collaborate closely with the legal department to initiate litigation when necessary, coordinating with external agencies or recovery agents as required.
- Analyze recovery performance metrics, implement corrective actions to achieve recovery targets, and manage the department's budget for legal expenses and recovery-related costs effectively.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in unsecured loan recovery, team leadership, and negotiation.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, risk assessment, and compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer relationship management.
- Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and budget management.
- Ability to work collaboratively with legal teams, external agencies, and internal stakeholders.
