Operations Shift: 2 PM to 11:30 PM IST [Mon to Friday}
About The Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Competitive Pricing Analyst to strengthen our market intelligence and pricing research function. In this role, you will monitor competitor pricing, promotional programs, and market trends across the heavy-duty truck and industrial parts industry. Your insights will help the Pricing team make informed commercial decisions by providing accurate, well-documented competitive intelligence.
This is a research-focused role and does not involve pricing approvals or ERP pricing updates.
Key Responsibilities
Competitive Market Research
Research competitor websites, digital catalogs, price lists, promotions, and other approved public sources to collect competitive pricing data.Monitor pricing changes, rebate programs, bulk offers, pallet pricing, and category-specific promotional initiatives.Track market movements influenced by tariffs, sourcing changes, and competitor strategies.
Product & Pricing Analysis
Match competitor products with internal part numbers using descriptions, specifications, applications, and cross-reference data.Build and maintain a structured competitive pricing database for priority competitors such as Automann, Sampa, and other assigned brands.Record source references, pricing dates, unit of measure, pack quantities, and program conditions to ensure reliable comparisons.Identify meaningful pricing trends and highlight significant market changes affecting product categories.
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare concise summaries of competitor pricing trends and actionable market insights.Maintain accurate research documentation to ensure all competitive data is traceable and easily refreshed.Collaborate with Pricing and Business Intelligence teams to organize research data for reporting and future Power BI integration.Escalate unusual pricing movements, emerging competitor programs, or strategic market shifts to Pricing leadership.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.2+ years of experience in Market Research, Pricing Analysis, Competitive Intelligence, Product Research, or Commercial Analytics.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivot tables, data organization, and analysis).Excellent internet research and data collection skills.Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately match products and part numbers.Ability to work independently while managing large volumes of research data.Strong written English and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the Automotive Aftermarket, Heavy-Duty Truck Parts, Industrial Distribution, or Manufacturing industry.Knowledge of product catalog management and part-number cross-referencing.Familiarity with Power BI as a report consumer.Understanding of competitor pricing models, rebate programs, and distribution channel pricing.
