Job Description

Overview

As a Compliance Operations Manager at our company, you will be primarily focused on reviewing higher risk customers for our APAC entities. Your role will be based in Hyderabad and will involve working with a diverse team of specialists across various locations to ensure the delivery of top-notch products and services in the APAC region. Your key responsibilities will include: - Collaborating with different teams within the company such as FinCrime Operations, Compliance, Product, and Banking to review customers for Senior Manager approval - Providing guidance on customer due diligence and ensuring quality framework for enhanced customer due diligence - Reporting to MLROs on decisions made and offering insights on control effectiveness related to CDD/EDD - Being the first point of contact for operational teams requiring advisory on KYC/CDD matters - Liaising with regional compliance officers for complex situations and escalating when necessary - Reviewing upcoming changes with local Compliance teams and making adjustments to escalation criteria - Overseeing the decision quality of Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and providing regular reporting to the MLRO - Providing input into the quality framework applied to EDD and reporting outcomes to the local MLRO - Reviewing EDD training materials to ensure compliance with local typologies and obligations - Developing a deep understanding of Wise's business and collaborating with various teams to understand the product and regulatory framework Additionally, you will play a crucial role in managing compliance obligations in Australia and New Zealand, driving regulatory change, monitoring and oversight, and providing assurance to the Senior Leadership team and local entity Boards. You will also be responsible for owning initiatives related to customer due diligence on a project basis. It is essential for you to keep up to date with company updates and culture by following us on LinkedIn and Instagram. Your work as a Compliance Operations Manager will be instrumental in supporting the company's mission for money without borders, transparency, and protecting customers.
