01Key Responsibilities
MARKET MAPPING & OPPORTUNITY ASSESSMENT:
Build comprehensive and MECE long lists of potential users/customers by industry, use case, and geography, avoiding premature narrowing and ensuring sufficient market coverage.
After establishing sufficient coverage, assess adoption potential, commercial attractiveness, and priority.
CUSTOMER ORIGINATION & QUALIFICATION:
Use phone, LinkedIn, local networks, and other channels to reach relevant procurement, engineering/facility, plant, and business decision makers and secure meetings with client/DI teams.
Go beyond meeting volume: understand each company's business context, potential use case, decision process, and actual likelihood of adoption to create qualified commercial opportunities.
CLIENT & CROSS-BORDER EXECUTION:
Join client visits in India and customer meetings; provide smooth communication, preparation, local coordination, and disciplined follow-up so client stakeholders can engage comfortably and efficiently.
Respect agreed strategy, decisions, and authority. Do not make unilateral commitments, change agreed direction, or promise terms to customers without prior alignment.
02Requirements
CORE REQUIREMENTS:
Strong structured-research skills and ability to build comprehensive/MECE market and company landscapes using multiple sources.
Demonstrated ability to reach appropriate decision makers and convert outreach into qualified meetings and opportunities.
Commercial judgment to distinguish genuine adoption potential from superficial interest.
Strong communication and coordination skills across Indian and Japanese teams; fluent business English.
High discipline in alignment, escalation, and decision rights when representing client/DI teams externally.
This is a Work From Office (WFO) role, with employee required to work from the office five days a week.
BACKGROUND & QUALIFICATIONS:
Relevant experience in management consulting, industrial B2B business development, market research, industrial/technology sectors, or related roles. Seniority will be determined based on experience.
Bachelor's degree or above; engineering, business, economics, or related disciplines preferred.
NICE TO HAVE:
Ability to act as a negotiation bridge, assessing what is favorable/unfavorable for the client rather than simply relaying counterparties' positions.
Ability to gather hard-to-access local primary information and read stakeholder sentiment, underlying intent, and decision-making structures.
Ability to add useful India-market and business-practice advice while respecting the agreed client strategy.
