Junior Java Developer (Core Java / Spring Boot) Location: Kolkata, India Experience: 34 Years Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are looking for a motivated and talented Junior Java Developer with 34 years of hands-on experience in Java application development. The ideal candidate should have strong Core Java and Spring Boot skills, with experience in developing enterprise applications. Candidates with exposure to Oracle FLEXCUBE Retail (FCR) or banking applications will be preferred. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications using Core Java and Spring Boot. Develop RESTful APIs and Microservices. Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including analysis, development, testing, deployment, and production support. Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following industry best practices. Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA Engineers, Solution Architects, and Project Managers. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance. Develop and maintain SQL queries and database objects. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint activities. Prepare technical documentation and support production releases. Required Skills 34 years of hands-on experience in Java development. Strong programming skills in Core Java (Java 8/11/17). Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA. Hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs and Microservices. Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Design Patterns, and SOLID principles. Experience with Maven or Gradle. Proficiency with Git or other version control systems. Strong SQL skills with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL. Familiarity with JSON, XML, and API integrations. Understanding of Agile development methodologies. Preferred Skills Experience in Oracle FLEXCUBE Retail (FCR) development or customization. Banking or Financial Services domain experience. Exposure to Hudson/Jenkins build and deployment pipelines. Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift is an advantage. Familiarity with CI/CD tools, GitHub, and DevOps practices. Experience with Kafka or messaging platforms is a plus. Educational Qualification Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
