Role Overview
Corporate Treasury Operations (CTO) at Goldman Sachs is a global, multi-faceted team within Operations with the primary objective of delivering smooth payments execution and reconciliation while ensuring tight ledger integrity. As a part of Core Payments Operations within Operations, this role focuses on corporate cash management services, including account, payments, and liquidity services. Your responsibilities will include overseeing a team to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks, scoping and planning delivery expectations, gathering requirements, influencing design, and developing solutions. You will also be involved in user acceptance testing, coaching team members, leading execution to achieve key objectives, and working closely with various projects and Engineering teams to enable payment capabilities or enhance existing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a team to ensure timely & accurate completion of tasks
- Scope, define, and plan delivery expectations with project stakeholders
- Conduct expert requirements gathering sessions to elicit actionable functional specifications
- Influence design and develop solutions aligned with strategic plans and business objectives
- Conduct user acceptance testing and implementation while building risk mitigation practices
- Coach team members, provide feedback, and opportunities for progression
- Develop functional targets, outline plans, lead execution, and communicate progress to leadership
- Work closely with projects and Engineering teams to enable payment capabilities or enhance processes
- Analyze risks, recommend solutions, and follow through to remediate gaps or uplift controls
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to navigate various situations and develop relationships
- Participate in recruitment, interviewing, and recommendation of potential new hires
- Actively participate in system testing, Industry & Regulatory changes
Qualifications Required
- Prior work experience in professional and relevant payments experience, with a minimum of 5.25 years
- Bachelor's degree
- Adaptable and flexible to a highly dynamic environment
- Ability to drive consensus, champion excellence, demonstrate leadership, and make data-driven decisions
- Proficiency in reconciliation concepts
- Knowledge of Banking sectors, Swifts, Credit Cards, Payment rails, and technologies
- Knowledge of various Payment related regulations (PRA, FRY15, etc.)
- Swift ISO messaging knowledge
- Proficiency in BI tools like Tableau, Alteryx & SQL is a plus
