Credentialing Manager Position Summary The Credentialing Consultant is an individual contributor responsible for partnering directly with physicians, clinics, and healthcare providers to educate them on credentialing, payer enrollment, compliance, and practice support services. The role acts as a trusted advisor by understanding provider requirements, identifying gaps, and recommending appropriate credentialing and revenue cycle management (RCM) solutions to help providers establish and grow their practice.
Key Responsibilities Physician Engagement Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians and healthcare providers.
Conduct one-on-one consultations to understand each providers practice goals and credentialing needs.
Educate providers on credentialing, payer enrollment, licensing, CAQH, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance processes.
Explain timelines, documentation requirements, and regulatory expectations.
Practice
Advisory Assess provider readiness for credentialing and identify potential risks or delays.
Recommend suitable credentialing, enrollment, and compliance solutions.
Guide physicians on best practices for starting or expanding their medical practice.
Provide insights on improving provider participation with insurance networks.
Business Development
Support Identify opportunities to introduce additional RCM and healthcare support services.
Coordinate with internal sales and operations teams for solution implementation.
Support client acquisition through professional consultations and presentations.
Convert physician inquiries into long-term business relationships.
Client
Management Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the onboarding process.
Ensure timely follow-up and proactive communication.
Address provider concerns and coordinate issue resolution with internal teams.
Maintain high client satisfaction and retention. Market & Industry Knowledge Stay updated on payer policies, CMS regulations, credentialing standards, and industry trends.
Share knowledge with physicians regarding changing healthcare regulations and reimbursement practices. Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate CRM records of physician interactions.
Track consultation outcomes, conversion rates, and client feedback.
Prepare periodic reports on physician engagement and business opportunities.
Qualifications Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in US Healthcare Credentialing, Provider Enrollment, or Revenue Cycle Management.
Strong understanding of CAQH, NPI, PECOS, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer enrollment.
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
